Week Thirteen

Scared of the Night

Maddie has been a long life friend of mine from my small town that I grew up in.
Recently she had a son; Braiden.

I get to see him in the month of May also!

After I photographed Maddie, she sent me a text that reassured all that I do.

It was along the lines of "Thank you for making me feel beautiful."

That was before she saw any of the photographs I took of her.

Most of my models are not a size two.

Some of them are smaller or bigger than a size two. 

They range in sizes.

None of my models are professional models.

All of them at some point feel awkward in front of my lens.

None of my models have a completely flawless complexion.

But all of my models are perfect.

Just the way the are.

I do edit my photographs, because, well thats fashion.

But if I can make someone feel amazing before I edit - and even more astounding after I edit...

Well, then I will say that my job is complete.

Seeking New Direction

Selfie.

Lost. Falling. Forgotten.
At times we all feel like giving up  - we all feel our passions cease to exist. The things we used to adore about ourselves quickly fade away into an existence we don't revisit. We fall.
But our goal - is to be able to stand back up, find who we were, who we are, and who we want to be.
My photography has become darker and darker. I like change. But I am also challenging myself to become more.
Hipster images are cool.
Happy wedding photographs are normal.
But I want something more.

My life has been extremely busy. I've become lost in the noise. I seeking a new light. I hope you enjoy what is coming.

This shoot was EXTREMELY Hard to pick just one. I am expanding my editing skills, which makes it extremely hard to narrow it down to one image.

Personal Post

The other day my friends and I did a "friend" shoot.

These three girls are my best friends.

I love them so much.

We got three different outfits and just started coming up with silly ideas.

My reason for this friend shoot is a lot of things.

1. I feel like I really have an established group of friends.

I always have struggled finding girl friends that are not only supportive, but understanding.

I have ran into people that give their opinion about your life, even though your decisions only effect you, and not them. I don't need opinions, I need support, and with these girls I get that.

2. I have been really lacking any type of motivation lately. 

When I get home from a shoot, I literally just want to sit down and watch a movie, or go to the gym. I hardly feel like editing, and I guess once you do it so much, for hours on end, it really is hard to motivate yourself to want to sit in front of a bright computer screen for most of the day.

Today, I have to do that, not only for my own work and promotions, but for a hired job as well.

Pushing myself.

3. I really wanted to make a collage of all of us girls, because we all decided, no matter where we are in life, we will still keep each other in our lives.

It's very important.
