A Personal Post

So I discovered a blessing:

However, I didn't necessarily know it was a blessing in the making.

I decided to do one photoshoot  a week for this year instead of taking photographs every day. It's a curse because frequently photographing, whether it be objects, people or animals, helps improve skills dramatically. I always tell people it's kind of like working out, or playing a sport; 

Yes, it takes time for me to warm up before a find myself getting any good "keeper" shots, and if you practice every day you will see improvement (whether that be with editing or taking the shots themselves, I see an improvement in both). However, the blessing of this decision is based on the fact that my life is moving quite rapidly. 

Within the last month or so, my life has become increasingly busy. After I graduated, I found myself photographing more as a hobby instead of a career. Good? or Bad? 

Maybe a little bit of both.

Artists have a spot in their life where they struggle with passion, and struggle with lack of inspiration. 

I have to admit, my inspiration has not died, but with all that is going on in my life, I am finding it harder to schedule actual paid photography shoots.

Recently I have picked up two jobs.

One is at a fitness center, that I adore (if you don't know me, I am a huge work out buff),

and the other is at a Brewery. This brewery has a huge opportunity for my future. They discussed with me the good possibility of me working with their marketing team after I am there for a reasonable time after I have shown my skill sets. On top of that, both the Brewery and Fitness center have asked me to graphic design promotions and advertisements with them.

On top of this, I am finishing an internship, and I also have a freelance job with a business where I am recreating their websites, and creating advertisements as well. Also to add to that, my internship has offered me work after I am finished with my time there.

Therefore, in a nut shell, I have 5 jobs occurring at the moment; including my photography life, and those will all probably stay.

I am so incredibly blessed for the future / up-coming photography shoots in store for my life. Whether it be weddings, or fashion shoots, or even babies and families. I am always honored and always blessed when people choose me.

I hope it shows, by my determination, and by my words that I am an outgoing, fun loving, and driven individual. The fact that 4 other businesses are happy to have me, overwhelms me, and if any one knows me, I try to show that silly, quirky personality even during my photography shoots, or should I say especially for my photography shoots.

I wasn't sure where I would end up last year, but it seems that I will be always working 2 jobs, and freelancing on the side for companies who want my graphic designing skills. Right now - Graphic design seems to be overcoming every job that I have, yet, that is the one thing I didn't go to school for - go figure. 

My life is pretty crazy, but I guess that's why I like photographing... it puts it all in order for me.

So here is some documentation.

This man and I will be moving to Holland, to start our life, as soon as possible.

He has been in my life for 6 years and some odd months, and I couldn't be more blessed.
