I took so many more photographs of things I wasnt planning, and so many less photographs of what I thought I was going to be taking.

All in all, this shoot was gorgeous. I can't wait to share all of my favorites.

Today I ventured out on my own to take a few self portraits.
I ended up sweating, falling over, landing on a thorn bush, and bleeding.

Day Two Hundred and Fifty Three.

As a photographer, a student, and an employee, I dont have much time. This gets extremely discouraging. I see people around me growing and improving everyday because they have the time to do so. 

I do not, and I wont until around January when I finally have completed school. But this is what I have to remember - In the last 7 years of photographing for people and myself, I have grown tremendously. I have done this all thanks to those who follow my work, who book my time, and who critique my ideas.

This shoot took awhile to set up - but Im glad I took time out of my day to do so. 

Even though my life is crazy right now, thesis is taking up all of my spare time (last art exhibition), and my advertising clients require time, thought and continuous ideas, I am trying to grow and use all of the knowledge that I learned. 

I may not be able to do all of the things I want at the moment, but I will never stop learning, and I will always keep growing. Because I have spent all of my time learning  - there is not an end to my growth - as a person and as a photographer.

Today I set out on a mission I've been wanting to do for some time. This is 5 photographs in one. I've always wanted to make a true panned image, but never have. So here ya are, Grand Rapids.

Some days, I want to move out of Grand  Rapids and live some where else.

Other days, days like this, where I am in the city with a beautiful sunset, I think that Grand Rapids isn't such a bad place to spend my life.

Guess I'm going one day at a time.

The most unique and beautiful sunset I have ever witnessed. This photograph doesn't even begin to explain what it looked like. It had blue dark skies on the left and orange rolling thunder clouds on the right. 

Nature contains the most beauty.

This woman has become one of my best friends. She is an amazing person who is always positive. It's nice to have positive people in your life who never stop encouraging you.

She is absolutely beautiful.

I would also like to take credit for her hair and makeup ;)

But I had a beautiful canvas to work with. (With make up, hair, and camera ^.^)

Today I took an adventure out on some country roads. Later I get to take some engagement photographs with some new clients! So excited!
